The Bangmod tangerine is a local cultivar of the mandarin orange grown in the Bang Mot area of Thonburi. Despite its name, it is of the species ''Citrus reticulata'' and not a tangerine (''C. tangerina'') in the botanical sense. It is claimed to be the most famous tangerine in Thailand. It is planted at Bangkhuntien, Bangkok near a canal named Bangmod canal. This area is very fertile and has good water. There are good waterways that enable farmers to travel by boat easily. Bangmod tangerine was first planted in 1855-1886 by the Chinese. Real Bangmod tangerine is very hard to find now because in 1967 Thonburi had a big flood which killed many of the Bangmod tangerine trees. The floods made many farmers reluctant to plant it again. == Appearance of Bangmod tangerine == The Bangmod tangerine is a circular, flat, smooth thin skin, Inside the skin is orange fruit with colored, juicy flesh. The sections separate easily. Bangmod tangerine is sweet and slightly sour-tasting. When peeled, it smells good. The Bangmod tangerine has more taste than other tangerines, which mades the Bangmod tangerine very popular in Thailand. 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Bangmod tangerine」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
